Mass Effect can now be added to the list of games I have beaten. Now if I can just resist the urge to play it again. I also will be very mad if they do not release the 2nd one some time in 2008.

Mario Galaxy will soon be on the list. Then I will break into some Raving Rabids to see how that is. I hear Rock band is about 10.6 times better then guitar hero, but I don't know if I have the skill to undertake such a game.

A while back when I was in high school a cult member basicaly tried to convince me of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesus_myth_hypothesis . I basicaly filed it away like most theories I hear and save it for when the conversation comes up. Just in case you were wondering it was in my brain next to the theory that Benjamin Franklin was a Satan worshiper introduced to me by minus5 . Personally I have never been a real history buff. I like reading books on science theory and business theory, but lose interest on things that have little good basis for provable fact.

Also why do people hate the laws of physics? I mean I know they seem bad, but we would not be here without them.

If I had the money I would start a charity devoted to convincing people that the laws of physics are your friend. I just need a little more money and some good ideas for billboards.

The laws of physics are AWESOME. For reference, I point to the fire in my fireplace and the last game of pool I won.

History is not all unprovable as fact. Jesus, frex, probably was a real person but didn't do all the things everyone says he did. He was probably the early equivalent of Chuck Norris and his cancer-curing tears. Doesn't stop him from being a really smart rabbi, but does cast doubts on his Messiah status. And you can't say Hitler or Charlemagne are unprovable. It's just that people are people and most of them can't resist telling "no shit, there I was" stories around the campfire or writing them down. Parsing out exactly how big the fish was can be a little tricky, but you still know people wore blue cotehardies in 1466.

It's not that I don't believe history exists. Its just that I find the view from which it is examined to change to much for me to truly understand it. Was Charlemagne a good guy or not? What about Genghis Khan? Should I be mad at the Japanese for what they did to China during WW2, and was it worse then what Hitler did to the Jews? Basically, History to me seems to need the ability to relate to humans on a deeper level then I tend to be capable of. So I stick with the other areas of expertise where I can at least replicate the experiment.

I'm glad someone else likes the laws of Physics you really made my day when you said that my faith in humanity is restored. :)

Charlemagne wasn't any more good or evil than anybody else. He went and did the things he did and they had the effects on later events that they did; whether they were good things or bad things depends entirely on which side of the Pyrenees you were standing at the time. ;) History and the study thereof don't necessarily depend on value judgments.

Unless you're one of those historians.
