Finally watched "Day Watch" last night and don't really know what to think about the film. I always hate when american film makers think that the audience is to dumb to understand anything without it being explained to them like they were a third graders. This Russian film however is like a language submersion test. The move has an interesting flow and some very artistic urban mythology mixed in. However, you may need to stop when the giant wheel of doom starts destroying the city and try to put it in context. Best I could come up with was Godzilla was channeled directly into the inanimate object by one of the lead characters.
I am still having fun with my new camera and would give it a thumbs up. Still trying to resist the urge to purchase Rock Band. It simply can not be $180 worth of fun. Got a 40k tournament this weekend and a 13.1 mile race so should be a fun weekend.
