I would have thought the least likely thing to bring in female gamers would have been the D20 supplement that stated women would get a +2 to Cha and a - 2 to Str, Wis, and Int. The paragraph that justified this was also very difficult to believe. That and the cover of the book had a woman with a sword in a chain mail bikini on it.
