It amazes me sometimes how large corporations work. There is of course the book view. What is taught in school on how you have a CEO, CIO, VP of etc... In school they explain what these people do and to some extent it is true. When you really study companies from a stock perspective you learn another level on why they make some decisions they way they do and you can get a glimpse at a second life that is not covered in the school books or by the school teachers. Then you spend 8+ hours with these people and realize that the game they are playing is so completely wrong on so many levels that it is just ... what is the right word... dizzying. On one hand it is good to know that I can play their game. In fact I play the top game with a very high level of competency. This is a game where the stakes are your job and the jobs of people who have no idea that one wrong phrase by you could cost them their jobs.
